Kate Middleton‘s beautiful cream ruffle Alexander McQueen’s christening outfit struck the perfect balance – formal yet fashion-forward. It also echoed the soft detailing of the gown worn by her three-month-old son Prince George.
Fashion fans had predicted that the Duchess of Cambridge would be sporting Alexander McQueen. The new mum has built a firm relationship with the British brand’s creative director Sarah Burton, who is responsible for creating Kate’s fairytale wedding dress.
Sarah is also behind many of Kate’s style hits since becoming a royal – Kate wore her traffic-stopping red coat for the Diamond Jubilee festivities in 2011, the tartan skirt suit that she wore for a trip to Scotland in 2012 and the white suit with pleated skirt for Trooping the Colour last year.
