Competition in the kitchen is heating up for Bake Off’s Paul Hollywood after his estranged wife Alex landed a sweet Tesco deal.
The mum-of-one, 49, will promote the supermarket’s own-brand chocolate in the run-up to Christmas using her recipes for puddings.
Paul, 47, split with Alex after a fling with US co-star Marcela Valladolid, 35.
He later called it “the biggest mistake of my life”.
Alex, who was taught to cook by her half-French, half-Norwegian mum, posts daily recipes on Twitter.
She has made no secret of her pursuit of celebrity, once saying: “Paul and I were a great team.
“I was behind the scenes, now I need something for me.”
Tesco’s Stuart Shaw said: “Her recipes will be perfect for Christmas.”
