When it comes to the world of pop music Lady Gaga is a strong contender for its most unusual inhabitant.
But when we thought we’d seen all the star had to offer, she went and beat her personal record for her most bizarre outfit yet.
The Applause singer stepped out to promote her new album Artpop in Berlin on Thursday in a costume which was impossible to describe using words.
But since it’s our job to write words so we can bring you all the best showbiz gossip, we’re going to make it possible and tell you all about that crazy little Gaga’s extraordinary outfit.
Gaga strutted her way out of her hotel to be greeted by hoards of screaming fans but it was difficult to tell if it was truly their idol they were wrecking their vocal cords for.
She was decked out in a yellow dress which actually looked quite cool, retro and reasonably normal aside from the giant, furry, orange sleeves.

But what really topped the outfit off, quite literally, was the hat the Gaga-est of them all wore which looked like an upside down furry handbag with a zip at the front.
Now, we’re used to seeing Gaga dressed in all kinds of mad outfits (anyone remember the meat dress? Yes? Good) but in this case she reminds of of some kind of fluffy cartoon character duck who stumbled across a dressing up box of clothes from the 60s and 70s.
Lady Gaga is in Germany to promote her new album ARTPOP where she is set to play the tunes from her new offering live.
Tweeting ahead of her performance, she wrote: “I’ll be filming my beautiful Berliners as they hear ARTPOP for the 1st time! I cannot wait, so excited I might puke in my purse!!”
We’re assuming she means quite literally – the purse covering her face.
